Kirsten is the Marketing Assistant at Innovative Timing Systems. She went vegetarian for 30 days and wanted to share her experience with our followers.  What’s for lunch? It’s a common question I ask myself on a daily basis and the options are pretty much endless. Let’s see, we have Panera Bread, Five Guys, Burger King, Taco Bell and the local sandwich shop all within a 5-mile radius of my office. With so many food options to choose from, I must also decide what “type” of food I’m going to eat. I’ve always considered myself a fairly healthy eater, but with a plethora of fad diets gaining popularity within recent years, it’s hard to know which diet is right for my nutritional needs and lifestyle. I began looking more into the meat industry and decided to go veg for 30 days. I was curious to see what would happen and how I would feel. For a race director, it can be difficult to provide athletes with the most up-to-date technology during events. The Kill Cliff® Destin Marathon and Half Marathon in Destin, FL, was able to successfully provide the best race day experience for their athletes. They were able to capture over 85,000 race day photos for more than 1,000 participants. Runners also enjoyed the ease of immediate results on a convenient kiosk. This was accomplished through the use of Innovative Timing Systems Jaguar products and the ITS YOUR RACE online race management solutions. Following the event, we spoke to Zane Holscher, founder of International Running Company and Race Director for the Kill Cliff® Destin Marathon and Half Marathon. St. Louis, MO / Baker, CA / Las Vegas, NV: Baker to Vegas, the world’s most prestigious and unique law enforcement 120-mile foot race, starts in Baker, CA and ends in Las Vegas, NV. On March 25, 2017, attendees came from all over the United States as well as numerous foreign countries. Around 13,500 participants, 2,000 volunteers, and over 20,000 spectators gathered for the 33rd annual challenge. Vying for the coveted cup trophy, teams pushed themselves through 20 timing points.…

St. Louis, MO / White Sands Missile Range, NM: The Bataan Memorial Death March conducted at White Sands Missile Range, is a challenging march through the high desert terrain in honor of the heroic service members who survived and died during the Bataan Death March of World War II. To show appreciation for their sacrifice, 8,000 participants gathered on March 19, 2017, to take on the grueling 26.2 or 14.2-mile march. Most participants even wore a military backpack that has up to 60 pounds in it. Included in the ceremonies were wounded warrior soldiers, military and civilian participants, and honorary marchers from World War II.…
