Feedback on Jaguar Chips

Today we timed a High School year-end phys-ed evaluation race, with 700+ runners and 3 U turns out on the course. Because cheaters cheat, we have been asked to provide a control point prior to each U-turn. What a great opportunity to use our three new FGA's. We got a 100% read rate.

In steady rain conditions today, 5k/10k race with 580 participants, my G4/FGA-1500+Side antenna backup read line placed 3 meters after my main line got 100% of the reads.

Krispy Kreme Challenge! We had a fabulous race today with 5,482 registered runners - the largest race in Raleigh. It was a blast! Imagine what all those doughnuts looks like. Everything went perfectly. No reports of a missed finish time.

Small elementary school today. 380 runners. 100% read rate. Exactly same reads as the primary reader on the truss. FGA installed 20 meters after the start so it got the starts and walking finishers. So good job ITS, well done product.

A very cold, rainy windy day at the Outer Banks Marathon. Here's our pre-finish timing system: FGA1500 with 8000 side antenna. 100% reads.

100% reads today with pre-finish FGA1500 with carefully positioned and aimed 7000 antenna. Scary good performance!

Coming in hot! 100% reads, using point to point Ubiquities 867ft. I knew the start times before the start team could tell me!

Second time we’ve used this set up. This is my new favorite. 100% reads. Flipping insane easy set up. I am in love with our FGA.

100% read rate today! KF chips for the win!

First race of the year. Even though we already had a record breaking snowfall for February, we didn’t expect a sudden snow squall on race morning. It was supposed to be fairly clear and sunny. Wind chill around 10 degrees, couldn’t set up much equipment due to no cover, but we managed to get 100% results.

Dear ITS, your time of 42 seconds for the FGA-1500 being set up went down in flames today. I wish I would of recorded it . We used it in front on the finish line. 100% chip reads.

Today, we had a 10k/5k/1k event with 700'ish runners. Well, 700'ish chip starts and 700'ish finish times. We actually missed one chip start and no one reported any missing finish time.

We just wrapped up our district meets this week. We still have a few more middle school and one college meet coming up, but all high school are done. We ended up with 42 meets this year so it was one of our biggest years. This week we have been running on the new version of Jaguar and I can attest that it works flawlessly and is actually a little more responsive. The reason for my post is because I want to give a shout out to Kurt and the hard work he has put into this software. I have every confidence in Jaguar when timing these meets. I know that there are those that will claim that you can't get accuracy under 1 second with RFID, but that is not the case with Jaguar. I also see a lot of timers talking about having to verify times for ties and close calls. I always run video at the finish so that I can step frame by frame as the runners hit the line. I can tell you that in every case, Jaguar gets it right. Every.Single.Time. With all of the ties I've seen this year, I haven't had to make a single adjustment. I'm not talking about two people that are really close. I've even seen cases where the runner got passed right at the finish line and Jaguar still gets it right. Amazing! Great job Kurt.

We won't claim that every race achieves a 100% read rate, because some things at the event are out of your control. However, after spending millions of dollars on R&D for our chips and systems, we will proclaim that we are the best in the industry. Jaguar Chips are engineered for success!
